Audit and assurance
Financial statement audit & review
Independent opinion on financial statements prepared by management. ISRE 2400/2410 review engagements provide a lesser degree of assurance. Covers a single statement or a specific element, account or item.
Audit for specific purposes
Verifies information against a specific framework or regulation — performance, operational, employee benefit plan and compliance audits, plus information system (IS) audit.
Internal audit
More detailed than an external audit — identifies financial and operational risks, control deficiencies, non-compliance and governance issues during expansion, restructuring or when existing controls are in doubt.
Forensic audit
Uncovers fraud, embezzlement or unlawful monetary movement — window-dressed statements, ghost employees, dummy accounts or false invoicing. Findings can be presented in legal proceedings.
Government incentives
ICV & ETIP / LRIP
In-Country Value (ICV)
Certification, improvement plans and programme implementation — experienced since ADNOC's ICV programme launched in March 2018, current with MOIAT guidelines and the score dynamics that matter for each client's business case.
Energy Tariff & Land Rebate (ETIP / LRIP)
Certification and score-improvement consultancy for Abu Dhabi manufacturers, since ADDED's ETIP programme launched in mid-2019 — recommending business process re-engineering that can save millions in electricity cost each year.

Tax
Corporate taxation
Corporate tax implementation
In January 2022 the Ministry of Finance introduced corporate tax of 9% on business profits exceeding AED 375,000 for financial years beginning on or after 1 June 2023, payable on profits reported under IFRS.
Our implementation strategy follows a phased approach: diagnostic review, impact assessment, design of compliant processes, and post-implementation monitoring.

Tax planning to legitimately reduce tax
Liaison with the FTA on notices served
Training staff to maintain compliant routines
Guidance on tax groups, free zones & restructuring
Regular internal reviews against controls
Ongoing advice on relevant updates
Plain-language reporting with recommendations

Value Added Tax (VAT)
Registration and deregistration
We have served a wide array of clients across industries in obtaining standalone and group VAT certificates from the FTA, and have de-listed entities from FTA records on meeting deregistration criteria within the stipulated deadline.
VAT advisory
Gap analysis between current practice and a compliant environment; accounting software fit for VAT reporting; data migration; ongoing monitoring against existing and updated provisions of the VAT Law.
VAT return filing and audit
We file returns and conduct VAT audits considering exempt, zero-rated and out-of-scope supplies; capital and operational expenditure; free-zone supplies; reverse charge; and supplies within the GCC.
VAT refunds
Claimed where excess VAT has been paid or the entity makes zero-rated supplies. We have handled numerous voluntary disclosures and reconsideration applications, drafting technical arguments grounded in the VAT Law.
Advisory
Financial advisory services

We assign specialists to each phase; our report presents expected financial and operational aspects based on realistic assumptions.

Management reporting areas
Compliance
Economic Substance Regulations
The objective of the ESR is to set out the criteria confirming that entities carrying on a relevant activity in the UAE have economic substance. We hold a strong grip on the regulations and extensive experience filing notifications and reports.
Meeting the economic substance test
- Core income-generating activities are carried on in the UAE.
- The relevant activity is directed and managed in the UAE.
- Adequate qualified staff, operating expenditure and physical assets in the UAE, given the activity's nature and size.
Our reports demonstrate how the test is met, and we file notifications and reports within the regulatory timelines.

E-invoicing implementation
Invoices are created as structured XML in the PINT AE format, exchanged through Accredited Service Providers on the Peppol network, and reported to the FTA in near real time. B2B and B2G transactions are in scope regardless of VAT registration status.
